well isn't this a treat — an unusual take on an art deco setting with five weirdo diamonds with almost square facets. what's the cut called? rose cut? mine cut? weirdo cut? ha! they catch the light beautifully and they're a nice juxtaposition with the crisp, precise art deco lines throughout the setting. the stones are full of inclusions — almost salt & pepper

unlike many art deco bands in this general style, this has a sturdy band thanks to a previous rehab

~2.9mm at widest point and tapers to ~2.15mm at the base of the band
tiny diamonds measure ~1.4mm each

C O N D I T I O N 

in good antique condition

-the old cut diamonds are free from damage, but they're weirdos!
-this band was re-banded, meaning that the original band was removed at just below the shoulders and a new, thicker, sturdier band was added in its place. that means it lost its original hallmarks and karat mark, but it's ready for another 100 years of wear.
-minor solder seams where the new band was added
-some inconsistencies in surface finish throughout the band
-modest wear to the milgrain and design details of the white gold setting

this is an antique item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
