a vintage flat woven chain with has been modified to accept a playful costume metal/paint carabiner clasp mid-chain. the carabiner was 'borrowed' from a kid assortment of carabiners for lanyard crafts, so it's being thrown in gratis, since it doesn't have any real value.
flat link chain sterling silver, likely made in Mexico, modified in SF with new oval jump rings mid-chain that are not soldered shut, but are sturdy enough gauge to support the carabiner and some pendants

C O N D I T I O N
in very good reworked vintage condition
-the chain is free from warbles or bends, but it has some stubborn patina in the recessed areas of the design
-chain's end caps have some minor bends
-lobster clasp works well
-double oval jump rings are not soldered shut
-there's a visible solder seam that rubs down the middle of the flat links, which kind of makes a brain explode to fully consider the engineering that went into this seemingly effortless uniform flat link
-new carabiner clasp is costume jewelry — likely paint over mystery metal, but it's sturdy!
this is a reworked vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
