reimagined A N T I Q U E // griffin / 14k art nouveau or earlier stick pin conversion / a pendant

it's an oldie. it's a goodie. this griffin is circa 1900ish and the details are seemingly endless. it was a hat pin, as many were, and that's helped preserve its details, because it almost never had friction against its surfaces. it has been newly converted into a pendant and it's ready for another hundred years of adventures with its next caretaker.

unmarked 14k (mark was on the pin post) with a bright hue that hints at a bloomed finish

new oval jump ring bail is not soldered shut and has a ~5.2mm x ~3.25mm opening
weighs 0.9g

C O N D I T I O N 

in good reworked antique condition

-there is a deep file park on the larger wing from a previous overly-thorough acid testing to confirm gold solidity and karat
-noticeable area on the back of the griffin where the pin back was removed, revealing the rosier gold hue beneath the bloomed finish
-new bails
-seed pearl appears to be original and it's too tiny for us to venture a guess whether it's real or faux

this is a reworked antique item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
