reimagined V I N T A G E // take flight / 14k thunderbird tie tack conversion / a pendant

years ago a thunderbird tie tack flew our way and it landed in this curation converted into a pendant. there was one, as is often the case around here, and it left so, so many people longing for its twin. that was truly years ago and it's taken this long to stumble upon this one with a close resemblance. and, again, same story: it was a tie tack and it's newly in the form of a pendant

late mid century with a classic florentine finish, solid 14k 

M E A S U R E M E N T S

~8.15mm north/south excluding bails x ~18.5mm east/west
new oval jump ring bail is not soldered shut and has a ~5.2mm x ~3.25mm opening
weighs 0.9g

C O N D I T I O N 

in good reworked vintage condition

-minor inconsistencies in hue and luster on the back of the pendant where the original pin hardware was removed
-it's hard to know what the dark areas in the recessed parts of the design are. precision oxidation? 
-the pendant is curved/concave slightly, so the wings are slightly behind the head
-new bails

this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
