flying on a broomstick against the backdrop of the cosmos? yes, please. that's exactly the sort of energy we all need to remind us of the power of magic present all around us and the significant figures who harness those energies for good.
she's here to add a little spice into several fiercely debated topics in the jewelry community: whether or not to rework/upcycle old pieces, hand fabrication vs casting/finishing, and the forever debate between true yellow and true rose gold. this particular signet was hand fabricated, which is rare for signets, and it has the solder seams to prove it. she's been upcycled, so she's neither truly new or old. And, her hue is somewhere between true rose and true yellow, but she leans rosy.
the signet face is has a brushed finish from where the original initials were removed and so it looks like the witch is flying across the backdrop of a full moon
this witch is deeply inspired by antique illustrations of witches, but with a softer, sweeter vibe. she's a good witch, as most are — don't be fooled by other lore about witches.

in good re-worked vintage condition
the signet is sturdy, but it shows plenty of wear:
-heavy scratching and patina throughout the ring, less visible on the newly engraved signet face where there's an organic matte finish behind the witch
-a deeper scratch on one of the shoulders near the point of one of the stars (see photo)
-this signet was hand constructed/fabricated, so there are solder seams where the band meets the domed setting, and again around the entire round signet face where it sits on the domed setting
-there's a minor loss/void at the edge of one of the solder seams (see photo with circled area)
-fading to the 750 hallmark for 18k
-this is a rosier gold, which means it has a higher copper content
-hand engraving and star set diamonds are new and crisp
-deep scratching/tool marks on the under gallery of the signet that's original to its hand fabrication story
this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
