well, isn't this a treat to find a ring that's art nouveau-inspired, but likely circa 1980s, and in a motif that nods to victorian era snake jewelry. a speckled green jade cabochon is the object of interest around which two subtle snakes slither. to the snake tails connect to their bodies? maybe not, but the ring's pretty spectacular nonetheless.
the real quirk is that this piece is likely a Chinese export piece, and while it's marked 14k and has a yellow hue with brassy patina, it's under-karat, so it's truly closer to 10k

-was sourced with the jade wiggling slightly in the setting and the prongs have been tightened, but the wiggle may return over time
-band was sized up and the base of the band is slightly rosier than the very yellow hue of the rest of the ring
-one snake's design details have worn more than the other
-jade is free from damage, but will show minor surface wear
-rich brassy patina throughout the setting
