V I N T A G E // tois and mois blooms / 10k + topaz + spinel + one CZ floral ring / size 5.5

a 1940s blooming delight that's a Plainville Stock Company rendition of an older tois et mois victorian era design. crafted in yellow gold with white gold overlay to enhance the sparkle of the white spinel accent stones. one white stone is a CZ to replace a lost stone. the blue stones are not perfectly matched for hue, but they're both light blue topaz and held in place with dainty prongs. 

as is true of many designs from this era, the designer opted for hollow/thin components where possible, so the visual impact doesn't correlate with weight

C O N D I T I O N 

in good vintage condition

-are all of the prong tips identical at this point in the ring's journey? nope. many are slightly shorter than they were once, but they're all intact and secure and this ring was recently in a very strong ultrasonic to ensure that all of the prongs are currently doing their jobs of holding the stones in place
-one of the center white stones is a CZ and whiter/more sparkly than the rest of the white stones
-minor surface wear across all of the stones
-modest patina
-faint evidence of a previous sizing
-micro chips/losses throughout the stones

this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
